The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) recently published a Guidance on Water and Adaptation to Climate Change, which was adopted during a meeting in Geneva on November 10–12.
The Guidance "provides advice to decision makers and water managers on how to assess impacts of climate change on water quantity and quality, how to perform risk assessment, including health risks, how to gauge vulnerability, and how to design and implement appropriate adaptation strategies."
It includes a preliminary project for the Nistru river basin. The Nistru acts as a natural border between Moldova and the breakaway republic of Transnistria, as well as between Moldova and Ukraine.
The UNECE press release on this topic is available here.
The Guidance (a 144-page PDF document, which may take a while to load) is available here.
